I can't believe it has been over a year since I updated our blog, but I guess you could say that we have been busy. There is definitely a lot to catchup on, we moved last June to Utah so we Joe could finish school since it is much cheaper than in AZ, and he has been working his tail off and going to school at night. Stratton is 7 now and Peyton turned 1 in February I can't believe how fast the time has gone, I am at student and a stay at home mom and I finally will graduate this August and I am excited, but there is still more school ahead for me as I only do a little at a time. Stratton has been doing great in school and loves his teacher this year and has really done well in his reading. Peyton is very busy and all the time, he gets into everything at least 5 times a day but he is the sweetest little boy and is so mellow. Here are a few pics to bring you up to date:

More pics and a really long story
I need to put this on here so if I ever get around to printing a book I will have all this stuff written down. Well the story of Peyton's birth begins Thursday February 25th at 7:30am is when I was scheduled to be induced. I really contemplated even getting induced because I felt so guilty trying to make a baby come to this cold cruel world(I know dramatic) if he really wasn't ready, but being the impatient person that am I decided to do it anyways. Dr. Tindall first broke my water and decided to have me get up and walk to see if I would make any progress and I didn't. He then decided to start me on pitocin to get things moving and while waiting they sent someone up to give me an epidural. I really wanted to try to go natural, I don't know what I was thinking that is just insane, I just couldn't stand the pain. My first epidural hurt so bad when they gave it to me I started to cry it almost felt like the needle was hitting a nerve, I felt it from my neck to my toes. He insisted it was normal, but 20 min went by and the pain just got worse and they kept asking me if I was sure it wasn't just pressure I was feeling, I kept thinking of course you would say that you aren't in labor!! They sent another guy up to check my epidural and when he lifted my shirt he asked Joe, "umm has she always had this baseball size lump on her tail bone"? Joe of course if like" umm, no". So of course they gave me another epidural since the last one was leaking to my tail bone, I know very weird. So long story short, I finally felt relief after the second one and then they waited it out until 7:38pm Peyton was born. I was shocked how fast I was able to push him out, in only 3 or 4 tries and no tearing, unlike my experience giving birth to Stratton pushing for an hour and a half and an episiotomy. This was a wonderful experience for me and not what I was expecting. It has been a blessing for our whole family and I am so grateful he came our life!

Quick Update
I went to the doctor yesterday, and found out that I am a lot closer than I thought, or not. I guess it just depends on this little boy and when he decides he is brave enough to enter this crazy family, we are excited for his. I am dialated to a 2 and 75% effaced, so he said it really could be any day or week it just depends. Now I am in full nesting mode, I just feel like I can't clean or organize enough, I drive myself nuts! I will keep everyone updated;)

Some more randomness from a 6 year old!
I had to put this on here, just another one of Stratton's funny comments and thougts. So tonight I went to the college to finish a research paper that was due this week, and I was there for a few hours typing my paper and decided to call Stratton and Joe and tell them goodnight before they went to sleep. This was mine and Stratton's conversation"
Mom: Hey Stratton how are you doing, are being good for dad?
Stratton: Yes, but dad won't let me do anything just lay down and go to sleep.
Mom: Oh, I am sorry.
Stratton: Yah, he just makes me rub his feet and get him everything. He thinks he is pregnant or something!
I of course start laughing and then I start thinking poor kid, I probably do the same to him!

More random pics and some fun stuff too!
Well I still haven't come around to putting up those pregnancy pics, I always say I will when I look really cute and done up! Who am I kidding pregnancy is not cute or at least feeling fat isn't but I will get one up sooner or later. I can't believe I only have 2 and half months left. And just to confirm, it is a boy and we finally agreed on a name, Peyton Grant. Stratton is so excited he can hardly stand it, he always asks me before bed to come lay by him so he can lay by the baby, it is so sweet. Stratton is doing good in school and has been seizure free for almost 6 months which is so awesome(knock on wood).Stratton is doing good he is so excited about Christmas, he gave me a letter a few weeks back to send to Santa, it was so funny I couldn't stop laughing this kid thinks of the funniest things here is how it went:
Dear Santa,
I am an elf and I belong at the North Pole, Please come and get me!
Love,
Stratton
He was 100% serious about being an elf and still asks everyday to take him to the North Pole. And of course to feed his imagination I bought him an elf hat that has ears on it, and I am making him a elf costume to his request with elf shoes, I will post pics when I finish. He already insists on wearing his elf hat to school everyday and I dont have the heart to say it looks silly and not to wear it. THat kid has the craziest imagination, I love it! Here are some more pics I promised from California that I took, not bad for my first time.

Finally an update with Pictures!
Sorry it has been so long since I have updated this thing, I have been super busy . Its kind of late but way back in August our little family went on a little vacation to Pismo Beach, San Luis Obisbo, Morrow Bay, Hearst Mansion, and back home in 3 days. It was so much fun to be by the ocean, it is so relaxing and it was perfect weather only 70 degrees compared to 90 back home in the middle of August. Our hotel was right on the beach so I got to enjoy morning walks on the beach with Joe, I know so romantic right and it was:). I have some pics but I am still waiting on the others I took with my dad's camera which was a super camera so I used him most of the trip. But here are some to get you by.

Aside from all of that fun and much needed vacation, I told you way back when I was 17 weeks(same when I found out with Stratton), they me told I was having a girl. Well I had another ultrasound at 20 weeks and found out we are having a boy! So I am going to have another ultrasound next week to make sure. So when I do I will post when I find out along with pregnancy pics per Kathy's request.

Update! (It's a good one)
Everyone has been asking me for an update so here it is! Yes, we moved back to Eagar and I am actually very happy about it. Joe's company ran out of work just like that and there was none around, so the short lived moved came to an end, and he is now doing plumbing in Eagar for himself and is really busy. I still know we were meant move there, and someday I will know why, and I also know we were meant to move back.
On to more exciting news, I am now 18 weeks pregnant and I am really excited about the new baby. Now I must confess I completely and totally cheated, I could not wait another minute, everyone who knows me knows I have absolutly no patience! Christmas for me is never a surprise I always cheat! I went to the hospital because at 18 weeks I am still throwing up a lot, and asked for an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok (well sort of). So I know I am a cheat and a liar(not about the throwing up part),so send me to jail,jk. So with all that drama I am now telling you I am having a............GIRL! Yay, exciting I will have one of each, Stratton is not too excited but I hope he can get used to the idea. We are moving into some duplex's in our ward tomorrow and I am so excited. So that's pretty much my life in a nutshell, thanks for listening. And if anyone has any cute girl names send them my way!

Back to Scool
So, Stratton started school on Wednesday and I know most rejoice this occasion, but I get really sad. Stratton on the other hand is such a big boy he loves school and has never cried when I drop him off, in fact he is already embarrased to kiss me goodbye, but I give him a big hug and kiss anyway!I love him being at home with me, we get to do so many fun things, art, crafts, swimming, hanging out, he is my little buddy. I am glad though that he gets to be in pre-1st it will be so good for him. He has a great teacher, good friends and I love his school. I am just a big baby, I guess I will have time to get ready for our new baby and for that I am excited. I would post pics of his first day except my camera is broken, I am sad I am glued to that thing so hopefully I will get a new one soon. He looked very handsome though!

Morning Sickness!!!

More like 24hr. sickness, don't get me wrong I am so grateful we are pregnant but even after 5+ years I still remember how much I hated morning sickness( I mean who likes it). With Stratton it was never this bad, the sickness only lasted a week maybe two and then *poof*, it was gone. I wake up sick, lay sick on the couch all day, anything I smell makes me sick no matter what it is! Then I may get a 30 min break where I start to think that I am feeling better and then BOOM, its here again. I wish it would just go away, I have tried everything!!! Ginger Ale, Crackers, toast, Nux Vomica(homeopathic), Vitamin B6, Sprite, and an herbal tincture my mom sent, and nothing relieves it long enough, if anyone has any advice of some kind of relief send it my way I would greatly appreciate it. :)

ONE CLUE!

TO BE DELIVERED 3.10.10
I have been waiting a few weeks to announce the pregnancy, but after 2 doctors appts. and 2 ultrasounds everything is looking good so far. We heard the heartbeat today for the first time, Stratton thought it was so cool, he asked the doctor" Is that my babies heartbeat"? He thinks it's HIS baby brother, we don't really know if it's a boy but he seems to be sure it is. I have had morning sickness every single day! I hate it so much, and accompanied by a headache, blah. I actually lost a 4 pounds, but nothing sounds good to eat everything makes me sick! Hopefully this will pass soon. But I am grateful for the pregnancy anyways, at least our family is finally growing, with the good and the bad!

Ode' to Joe

So here in Prescott although it has been hard adjusting to a new place, new people, more shopping(yeah right), there has also been a lot of blessing's that have come with it. Joe and I couldn't figure out why we weren't moving forward in Eagar with a job, home, baby,etc... We finally figured out after months of praying that Eagar was not the place we were suppose to be, and even now I am still sad about leaving family, and all the caring people we became close to. We had so many blessings for the time in Eagar, we made close friends, went through the temple, healed wounds, and grew closer to our Heavenly Father. Something I should have learned after moving a sum odd 29 times, that after you have grown all you can in a place he has different plans and then closes that door, and they have never been what I wanted at the time but always the best choice in the end for me. I must say after all that moving you think I would get use to it, but NO, I hate change! I kicked and screamed each time we moved and this was no exception(to be honest).
I am starting to realize all the blessings we have been given by listening to our Heavenly Father. We were so lucky to find such a beautiful home, in a beautiful and peacful area, and not to mention cheap price. We are closer to the valley for Stratton's doctor appointments, and most important we aren't hitting the block wall. Meaning we are progressing again and showing all the hard work that comes with it. I always want to be learning and growing, I want to keep moving up, and never go back I have done that before and it's a hard lesson. Joe and I have been through so much together from the beginning but I knew in my heart he was the one for me and Heavenly Father would bless us if we followed his plans for us, so with that I picked all the pieces up and hoped for the best.
With all that rambling, I wanted to say how proud I am of Joe and all of his hard work. HE truly has been to hell and back(pardon the potty mouth), I don't know how I would go through the trials he has had to endure he is so stinkin' strong he has grown so much and he has the most incredible ability to forgive. I on the other hand do not know how, I look up to Joe so much to teach me though. He recently has been called as our wards Executive Secretary, and I am so proud of him for the strength he has and how much he has grown, what a great man he has become. Heavenly Father truly has great plans for him. On a lighter note did I mention how much he helps me clean?( I truly have the best)

Birthday Celebration!

Yesterday I turned the BIG 25, I was fine until someone pointed out that it was half way to fifty. But it was a great Birthday and couldn't have asked for more. Joe bought me some beautiful roses,I love flowers and he always knows what kind I would like, he has good taste.,,
Then we ate at my favorite restaurant we discovered in downtown Prescott, THe Firehouse Kitchen, it is sooooo yum. They have the best pasta I have ever tasted, and fresh homemade lemonade mmmmmm( are you hungry yet?). If you ever come and visit us we are going there, it is so good. Stratton drew me a ton of cute little pictures and put them in envelopes to hide around the house it was so cute, it was a great day.

Mother's Day Picnic
Sunday Joe and Stratton took me on a picnic, at Granite Creek Park, the parks here are beautiful , I can't think of anything I would have rather done on Mothers Day. We sat underneath a giant shady tree with our picnic basket and blanket, and ate our lunch, then ran to the ice cream truck for ice cream. Joe and Stratton played catch while I took a nap under the giant shady tree, ahhhhhhhhh. Joe and Stratton also picked out a card for me and a gift card to Old Navy, I love being close to somewhere you can shop:)

Good Friends
I guess I forgot to update the post on us moving, we actually moved two weeks ago, we just couldn't be apart that long. Before we left Stratton's teacher asked us to come by his Kindergarten class so everyone could say goodbye. She bought all the kids ice cream and they all went outside and everyone told Stratton what they love and will miss about him and they kept giving him tons of hugs. I was in tears, and so was his teacher, before we left she gave Stratton a present and drawing pad,and colored pencils. She always encouraged his drawing, and thought he had a talent in art, she is so sweet.

Moving!!!

I know some of you have heard me say that we have wanted to move, for over a year now! So with that being said, WE Are Moving, to Prescott. Joe starts work Monday, I know really fast, I won't be moving til the end of the school year in May. I am excited for the change, new start, something new , we have been waiting til the right time and for things to fall into place, and they have so I guess this is where we are suppose to be. Joe plans on finishing his associates at Yavapai College, then going onto Embry Riddle in town, to do engineering, so it works out good. We will miss all our friends from Round Valley, the beautiful summers, Bunco :(, and all the fun times. Thank you everyone for everything :)
